Come visit Yukon!

Get ready for a truly unique holiday! Pack your things and set off to Yukon, Canada, for 6 days enjoying a relaxing paddle down the Yukon’s river clear waters, discovering the remains of the Gold Rush history, catching your graylings and enjoying delicious homemade meals over the campfire! What else could you ask for? Adventure is waiting just around the river bend!

Day 1The adventure begins - departure from Whitehorse

Shortly after breakfast, you’ll drive to Lake Laberge and begin your paddling adventure. This 50 km long lake is renowned for cold waters and dangerous winds. For this reason, you will cross the lake to the north end by motorboat. Once you reach the end of the lake, you will unload the gear and set up the first camp on the shore of the river. In the afternoon, go through all the basic canoe strokes and go on a short paddle to practice!
In the evening, enjoy the first meal cooked over the open fire and rejoice at the prospect of the upcoming adventure!
Night in tents.
Meals included: lunch, dinner

Day 2 to 5It's paddling time!

This morning you will begin the 6-day paddling adventure down the mighty Yukon River. After the discovery of placer gold on Bonanza creek by three prospectors in 1896, thousands of men and women traveled the Yukon River to try their luck in the Dawson area. You’ll paddle the wildest section of the river where there will be the best chances of observing northern wildlife. There are numerous historical sites along this stretch: abandoned woodyards and telegraph stations, remains of old steamboats, and more. Every day you will enjoy delicious freshly made food cooked over the open fire.
Starting in August, in this remote land, far away from any light pollution, you’ll have the opportunity to watch stars in the clear night skies and maybe even a memorable show of northern lights!
Nights in tents.
Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 6Return to Whitehorse

Today is the last day of the canoe trip, so enjoy one last time waking up and having a campfire cooked breakfast in the wild. You will get to Carmacks in the early afternoon where you will meet with the driver. Your last night in Whitehorse is free.
Night in hotel.
Meals included: breakfast, lunch
