The spectacular Aurora Borealis of Yukon, Canada, appears in the night sky: it starts as a green sheen that twists and turns, growing slowly, then suddenly bursts in the night sky, dancing.
Yukon, the land of the first gold diggers and backpackers is, in fact, the destination of many visitors every year that want to witness this incredible phenomenon.
Go on a 5-day tour chasing the Aurora Borealis, stay in the lodges of the Boreal Ranch, the perfect environment to enjoy unique night views. Relax and lose yourself in nature, always keeping an eye on the northern sky.
Meeting of participants at Whitehorse airport. Transfer by bus/van to the hotel in the center of Whitehorse. The hotel is close to all attractions, restaurants, banks, and shops. Informative meeting and registration for extra activities. In case winter clothes were needed request (optional), you will have time take care of that as well as of all equipment.
Free time to visit the city before dinner. At 22.00, you’ll be off to see the Aurora Borealis! All participants will stay in cabins or tents with hot drinks and snacks. Return to the hotel around 2.30 in the morning.
Take the morning off, or take optional city tours to see White Pass train station and Route Yukon (starting at 10 am). In the afternoon transfer to the Boreal Ranch to enjoy the view of the Aurora – located at the foot of the coastal mountains, the Boréale Ranch is perfect for enjoying the landscape. After dinner, you are free to relax in your private room or watch the stars around a bonfire. Have a cup of coffee and get ready for an incredible night waiting for the Aurora.
Coffee on the private terrace of the Ranch, with a view of the Rocky Mountains. Hearty breakfast in the main lodge, with several desserts and fruit. Relax after breakfast and have some free time, or take part in one of the optional tours. In the afternoon excursions to the Yukon. Meeting in the lodge for happy hour before dinner, with local specialties. Enjoy a hot chocolate around the
bonfire after dinner and keep an eye on the sky.
Around 11 am, check out and return to Whitehorse to get back to the hotel. Free time in the afternoon for a new excursion. At 10 pm departure for one more night of Aurora observation at the Northern Tales Trading Post. Return to the hotel at around 3 am.
