This Adventure in Costa Rica one-week tour is a great combination of a lot of sightseeing, exploring the rainforests, beach time at the most beautiful coastal area of the country (Manuel Antonio National Park), and of course, the inclusion of the 3 most popular adventure activities here: zip lining, white water rafting and waterfall rappelling. What else are you waiting for? Pack your bags and set off now!
The trip starts by going to the Sarapiqui Rainforest area, driving in between the Poas Volcano and the Barva Volcano; a very scenic ride through the beautiful countryside with sights of plantations, forests, mountains and rivers. As part of this transfer-tour, we stop in a few places to observe waterfalls, plantations and other points of interest, to make your first day in Costa Rica a great day of sightseeing.
Once in Sarapiqui you would stay at the Sarapiquis Rainforest Lodge, a modest but comfortable accommodation that has a unique charm, surrounded by nature everywhere you look and next to the Tirimbina Biological Reserve, a large protected area full of wildlife that many times could be found in the grounds of the hotel, like monkeys, toucans, sloths, anteaters, colorful frogs, several species of tropical birds, among others.
After the adventure in Sarapiqui you would travel to Arenal, the most famous touristic region of Costa Rica, a picturesque lowland area with many farms, forests, mountains, rivers and an impressive conic shaped volcano that attracts the sights of every visitor. Your hotel included in Arenal would be the Magic Mountain, a comfortable mid-range type of accommodation with a nice swimming pool, good views of the volcano and close to the town of La Fortuna. This hotel is also at walking distance from many restaurants, bars, shops and grocery store.
After Arenal your tour continues to the Manuel Antonio National Park area, the most beautiful coastal region of Costa Rica. The ride there we also do it as a tour of its own, that includes stopping in places where we normally observe wildlife, such as crocodiles, sloths, scarlet macaws, monkeys and other animals. We also stop in local places for you to experience a little bit of our culture, such as stopping in fruit stands for you to learn, and maybe taste, some of our large variety of exotic fruits, or stopping in local towns for you to see what the real non-touristic Costa Rica is like. However, if you have a special request of something that you would like to see, do or experience, please let us know and we will do our best to take care of our request; on these types of private transfers we have the flexibility to adjust to your preferences.
The following day after your arrival would be for you to rest, explore the public beach close to the hotel, or enjoy the recommend visit to the Manuel Antonio National Park, which has very beautiful beaches inside of it. The walk from the entrance of the park to its beautiful beaches is about 10-15 minutes.
At Manuel Antonio you will do a very exciting Water Rappelling Tour, considered as one of the best in the country. You would be doing a total of 4 rappels, one of them in a waterfall that measures approx. 80 meters (260 feet), with very impressive views of the canyon and all the rainforests surrounding it. The drive to the location where the tour is done is also very beautiful, with sights of small charming local towns, rainforests, creeks and waterfalls. This tour includes lunch and is a half day activity, so you will have the rest of the afternoon to enjoy the beach or the hotel’s amenities.
Today, enjoy some free time to unravel from all the adrenaline and get some rest.
Please do your hotel check-out at noon, the hotel’s staff will be happy to store your luggage and a driver will pick you up at 5 p.m. for you to keep enjoying the whole afternoon at the beautiful Manuel Antonio Beach.
